Case Study -
Electro-Chlorination Control System
Electro-chlorination uses electricity to convert saltwater into sodium hypochlorite or chlorine gas. Booker Hill Projects incorporate sophisticated software control systems to optimize the performance, efficiency, and safety of electro-chlorination units. These systems help manage the production of chlorine on-site from saltwater through electrolysis, ensuring that the process is efficient, reliable, and adaptable to changing conditions.
These projects have many challenges to overcome especially making sure that the systems run smoothly using a variety of different software and equipment dependent of the customers requirements. Safety is a key issue as the bi-products of production are potentially hazardous and Booker Hill Projects use software systems to programme monitors, sensors and alarms for the installation, maintenance and calibration as per the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations.
Areas of control engineering we work on, but not limited to, are:
· APC – Advanced Process Control Systems
· Real Time Data
· PID Loops
PLC | Rockwell Studio 5000 Mitsubishi GX Works Mitsubishi IEC Developer Siemens TIA Siemens Step 7 OMRON |
SCADA | Beijer Siemens Comfort Rockwell Powerview Plus Mitsubishi GOT |
Collaborating with the customer and undertaking extensive testing of the control system and interface prior to the installation Booker Hill Projects ensure that everything runs as it should optimizing disinfection and filtration of water supplies whilst adhering to all safety requirements.
